one more question i still kinda dont know what to do still. could you make a video on how you have it hooked up really help thanks
When you make the screen bigger does the picture get worse?
No it stays about the same quality.
OK, thanks!
can you hook this to a computer?
No it does not have a VGA input but I think you can buy a vga to component cable and that should make it work.
that sweet but mine is 120″
Yea mine can go that big too but I dont have enough space in my room to do it. Do you have this same projector or do you have a different one?
i have a question, how to do connect a tv to a projector using the yellow, white, and red cables
You can not connect a tv to a projector. To watch tv on a projector you have to hook up a vcr or a tv tuner to the projector.
i duno if it is
how long do the bulbs last, before u have to replace it?
The bulb is rated to last 1000 hours and the replacement bulbs are only $99.
1,000 hours is correct but most bulbs for pther projectors last about 3,000 and cost $175-$250. So if you want something you can buy cheaply get this. If you want something of better resolution with longer lasting bulbs that cost less in the long run, invest a bit more in a better projector. Also, my refurb’d IN1 lamp only lasted about 5 months.
down front
who was to think that now in 2010 this town hall meetings would turn into the tea party
If the light comes on that your bulb is out come on ,before you buy a new bulb hold down both brightness buttons and it should reset. Also be careful and very gentle when pushing the buttons they break the you have to cut them off and stick your fingers in the button hole to turn it on whatever the button did. , If you get HD it does real good with that as well.
Very nice. Thinking about getting the optoma hd66 myself. Trying to decide between buying a big tv this weekend and a projector. This choice is freaking impossible
How are you routing your audio?
Hi, great vid. I have the Infocus IN1 as well, but my lamp went dead, where can i find replacements?
@Olvr00007 I dont know. I was looking for a extra bulb for mine when it goes out and can not find one. I found a couple of them but they want $200 and $300 for them witch is way more than I will pay. The bulb is originaly only supposes to cost $99. I saw new egg is selling a the whole projector for about $180 with shipping. I would probably just buy a new projector unless you can find I cheap lamp.
@rockey90 True, its better to buy the whole thing again… the one thing i noticed is that newegg is selling recertified units which means that the bulb itself is probably used and that will lower its 1000hrs…
@Olvr00007 Yeah I saw that. The IN1 that I got in these videos is recertified. It is supposed to have atleast 75% bulb life left so that would be 700 hours. I got mine off of ebay about a year ago. I dont use it too much but the bulb is still good in mine.
I have the Infocus too now. I got it this week. And let me tell you, the thought of actually paying money to go to the movies now, makes me want to puke!
@CustomJ Same here. I just cant see paying the crazy prices they charge to go to the theatre. When I see a movie in the theatre I want to see I wait untill it comes on dvd and I buy it.
do you know if you can get an hd vcr hooked up to that to play hd movies
@PittsburghFan71 It has component inputs on it so you can plug hd sources into it but the resolution is not hd so it will not look like hd. I plugged an hd upconverting dvd player into mine and the picture is really good but it is not hd quality.
