Replaced Lamp on Mitsubishi WD-62525 but Now Timer Light Is Flashing Constantly?
I recently got a HDTV from my brother but he let me know ahead of time that the lamp was in need of replacement even though the tv is only 3 years old. I just replaced the lamp yesterday and the lamp light went out. When I plugged in the TV however, the timer light immediately began flashing yellow rapidly. I looked at many forums and many said that this is due to the DP board needing repair of replacement. The thing is is that my brother who is an electronics expert, had just replaced the board on the TV. He told me to try and unplug the tv for an extended period of time than plug it back in however, it is still flashing. What is weird is the fan in the tv is on but the TV won’t turn on completely. What could possibly be the problem with the TV? Right now it’s just a big waste of space and I need to know what the heck is up with this darn TV.

This particular chassis has many things that can cause this syptom. The most likely suspect would be to look on the DM board (inside the metal shield) for 4 1000mfd 16v capacitors. If they are bad, they will probably be domed on the tops. Also look on the power supply board for 2 680mfd 16v caps domed as well. If this replaceing these doesn’t take care of the problem, then there it’s something serious and should go to a shop
